Part of the Academy Playhouse's "Blue Skies on the Hill" Spring Concert Series. Formed in 1991, the band has evolved through many incarnations, three Tone Cool and two self-produced CDs, trips around the world as far as South Africa and mostly the joys of playing a lot of music on Martha’s Vineyard where most of them live.... Jung-Ho Pak, conductor Forty years ago a phenomenon swept the world and helped make Pachelbel's Canon a household name. The classical smash album "Greatest Hits of 1720" featured the "top ten" of the Baroque period, including the theme from Masterpiece Theatre, Pachelbel's popular Canon, Albinoni's enduring Adagio, and masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach, including Air for the G-string.... The final concert of this season’s Village Concert Series presented by the Sandwich Arts Alliance will bring to the Cape for the first time the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra, led by world- famous Baroque cellist and long-time Sandwich summer resident Phoebe Carrai. The concert, on April 8th at 7:30 pm in the Sandwich Town Hall on 130 Main St., will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the death of Georg Philip Telemann by focusing on his musical friendship with Johann Sebastian Bach....
