August 14 - September 29 “Aging Gracefully” a group artist interpretation exhibit will be on view at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee Commons. There is a meet-the-artists reception of Wednesday, August 14th from 5:00 to 7:00pm with refreshments. The exhibitors are Joe Fattori of E.Sandwich, Candice Ronesi of Forestdale, Gunjan Laborde of E.Falmouth, Betsy Payne Cook of Mashpee, Debbie Kurlansky Winer of Newton, Annette MacAdams of Sandwich, Sue Dahling Sullivan of Mashpee, Chris O’Dell Ferguson of Marstons Mills, Jan Waitz of West Newton, Sandra Hadley of Sandwich, Roger Bigg of UK, Amy Rice of N.Eastham, Cynthia Cruz of E.Falmouth, Helen Koehler of East Falmouth and Arthur Tsicoulias of Mashpee. Please join us for a cocktail party on September 24, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at Cotuit Center for the Arts. Meet celebrities Tedi Marsh, song writer, singer, actress and musician; Jung Ho Pak, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Cape Symphony; and Carter Luke, Chief Executive Officer and leading spokesman for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), who are featured in the acclaimed book I Am of Cape Cod: People and Their Stories by John Whelan with photographs by Kim Roderiques. Other engaging Cape Codders whose portraits and stories appear in the book will also be available to meet and greet, as well as the author and photographer. A selection of images by Kim Roderiques will be on view. Refreshments will be served in addition to a full cash bar. Price of admission: $25 All proceeds from this event will benefit Cotuit Center for the Arts and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) Cape Cod. (more)

For the month of September, the Brewster Ladies’ Library is excited to welcome the Visual Artist Cooperative. The VAC’s artwork will be on display in the Library auditorium from Tuesday, September 3 to Friday, September 27 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Formed in 1989, the Visual Artists Cooperative is a group of local artists whose diverse works encompass abstracts, sculpture, oils, watercolors, acrylics, printmaking and photography as they relate to a myriad of subjects....
