Meet Author Deborah Scroggins
Deborah Scroggins, Cape Cod resident, noted journalist, foreign correspondent,& award-winning author, will discuss her new book WANTED WOMEN: Faith, Lies, and the War on Terror -- The Lives of Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Aafia Siddiqui. This riveting double biography traces the opposite paths followed by two educated & committed women. She brings into focus the issues of militant Islam, women’s rights & the war on terror, through the lives of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a critic of Islam & religious extremist Aafai Siddiqui. Scroggins elucidates the one-dimensional view of Middle East politics & culture held by most Americans. Eight Cousins Bookstore will provide copies of the book for sale & signing.
