YOGA WORKSHOP: INTRO TO POWER VINYASA WITH LEIGH ALBERTI
All levels are welcome in this workshop. Beginners, and those who have less than 6 months experience in Power Vinyasa Yoga are especially encouraged to attend. Leigh will break down the poses and sequences commonly found in a Power Vinyasa yoga class. You will learn proper alignment, modifications, variations, and the use of props so you can safely and confidently jumpstart your yoga practice. Leigh Alberti has been practicing yoga for over 12 years and is a certified and registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance. After spending much of her life as a competitive swimmer and athlete, Leigh began practicing yoga as a way to relieve stress from her first job as a special education teacher. By flowing from one pose to the next, and being mindful of breath, she not only became aware of every part of her body, she also began to feel a sense of presence, freedom, and space. She is continually humbled by the practice, her students, and her teachers, and is so grateful to be able to share the light that is yoga with others. She hopes to convey a sense of groundedness, gratitude, and playfulness through her classes.
