Sunset Paddle on Chase Garden Creek
Join Mass Audubon’s Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary on a naturalist guided kayak trip! Our experienced naturalists will lead you away from the crowds to discover the rich aquatic life and beauty of Cape Cod. Join us as we kayak Chase Garden Creek in Yarmouth Port. This creek is a long, meandering creek that is protected from the stronger winds of Barnstable Harbor. Close encounters with osprey nests and other bird life is a certainty.
You must be 12 years or older to participate. ***Ages 12-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Previous kayaking experience (within the last few years) and swimming ability are required for this trip. This trip is intended for those with previous kayaking experience, yet all experience levels are welcome! Participants will be required to wear a life vest.
DIRECTIONS: Meet at Public Parking area at Grays Beach (also known as Bass Hole). From US 6, take exit 7 (willow St). Turn onto Willow St north and follow till end. Take right onto Rt. 6A and follow 1.5 miles to Center Street. Follow Center Street 1.2 miles to the end. Park at large lot on right.
