About AVENUE Q Princeton, fresh out of college, searches for a place to begin his life and ends up way out on Avenue Q where the rent is affordable. His superintendent is Gary Coleman and his neighbors a diverse group of 20-somethings, a vamp, some bears, and a Trekkie Monster. The 2004 “Triple Crown” Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score, Avenue Q is about the search for one’s purpose in life. It’s funny and irreverent, full of energy and charm and is fearless at addressing political correctness. Many characters are puppets in the style of Sesame Street but this show is definitely not a children’s show and parental discretion is advised for ages 13 and above. The Director and Choreographer of Avenue Q is Kristin McLaughlin, Assistant Director to Stanley Tucci in the Broadway revival of Lend Me A Tenor. The Puppetry Coach is Aymee Garcia, a member of the original cast of Avenue Q and now puppetry coach for the New York production. The musical director of Avenue Q is Scott Storr, set design by Ryan McGettigan, Costume Design by Robin McLaughlin, Lighting Design by Herrick Goldman, Prop Design by Mary Fritz. Stage Managed by Heather Lannen. The cast of Avenue Q includes Morgan West, Jessica Albon, Kako Kitano, Darlene Van Alstyne, Andrew Ford, Jared Hagan and Holly Erin McCarthy.
