"The USS Constitution", a talk by Beverly Fuller, Historian
A talk on the history of the frigate,"The USS Constitution", better known as "Old Ironsides". It was commissioned by George Washington in 1894 and was more heavily built and armed than most frigates of its time. It became famous during the War of 1812 for its successes in the Great Lakes battles against Great Britain. Beverly Fuller, an Orleans historian, is an expert on its long and diverse history.
