Hospital Blood Drive at Cape Cod Mall
Any person 16 years of age with parents permission, or over 17 in good health and weighing at least 110 pounds can become a Cape Cod Hospital blood donor. There is no upper age limit as long as you can pass the donation history and physical. The entire process of donating blood takes about 45 minutes. A short medical history is taken and some screening questions are asked. Your blood pressure, pulse, temperature and blood count will be measured. The actual donation takes about ten minutes. After donating, you will relax for a few minutes and enjoy free refreshments before resuming normal activities. All blood donated during the blood drive stays on Cape Cod and is used at Cape Cod and Falmouth hospitals.
To make an appointment, please call 508-86BLOOD before September 18th. If the line is busy, you can leave a message with your name, phone number, and time you would like to donate and we will call you back to confirm. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be honored first.
