Life and Times of Saint Patrick
Come hear Irish native and historian Sean Murphy, on Friday afternoon, March 13th, at the Falmouth Public Library! His talk will examine the history of Saint Patrick's mission in Ireland in the 5th century, and the work he carried out.

Saint Patrick arrived in Ireland at a crucial time in world history-the Roman empire was collapsing, and Ireland was reorganizing after the assassination of its High King. He returned to Ireland as a bishop in his mid-forties, and spent twenty-five years ministering to the existing Christian community in Ireland. His mission played a large part in expanding the Catholic influence in Ireland.

Sean Murphy was born and raised in Dublin, and came to Cape Cod in 2005. He has a passion for his homeland, and loves to share his knowledge and interest through classes and workshops. He is a teacher of Irish history, music and dance.
