Cape Cod is beautiful year-round, but winter brings a special beauty—quiet beaches, seals hauled out on islands, starry nights, sea ducks, and much more. The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary invites you to visit during this peaceful time of year.

Search the Cape’s waters for eiders, scoters, loons, and grebes. Take a guided walk along a remote beach to look for wintering birds and storm-tossed shells and listen to the surf. Travel to Chatham to view gray and harbor seals as they swim or rest on shore.
