The Community Development Partnership (CDP) is conducting a First Time Home Buyers Workshop. Those who successfully complete the program will be awarded a certificate (CHAPA) which may make them eligible for certain assistance programs or mortgage products. You will learn about budgeting and credit; finding and working with a Realtor; obtaining a mortgage—including “soft 2nd” and other products; the reasons you need: an attorney, a home inspector, an appraisal, an insurance policy; and about keeping and maintaining your new home and Energy Audits. The workshop is scheduled for every Tuesday in October, starting on the 5th from 6 PM to 9 PM at the CDP conference room in Eastham.
