Shell Chic: Shell Mirror Workshop

Discover the romantic hobby of collecting and designing with shells. Come to Heritage and create a shell-encrusted mirror to take home and enjoy. A broader palette and imagination for working with shells will be encouraged. Marlene Marshall, a painter, mosaic and shell artist and teacher will lead this hands-on workshop with step by step instructions on design and application, enhanced with a slide show of vintage and contemporary designs. All materials for creating the shell mirror will be supplied to each student.

Ms. Marshall is the author of Making Bits and Pieces Mosaics and Shell Chic published by Storey Books. She conducts workshops on mosaic and shell application all over the East Coast. Her watercolors, mosaic and shell pieces have been exhibited and sold in galleries and museum shops nationwide.
