Magellan sailed the world looking for spices and this series of June culinary classes is inspired by international cookbooks. Highfield culinary expert Gail Blakely will be joined by Lisa Foley of Spice Merchants Cape Cod and the classes include demonstrations, tastings, and a discussion of how to obtain and use spices when cooking. Recipes will be drawn from Plenty More: Vegetarian Cuisine from Yottam Ottolenghi; Ruhlman’s Twenty: Basic Techniques from Michael Ruhlman; Make it Ahead: Tips for Entertaining from Ina Garten.
