The Galley of the Guild of Harwich Artists will be holding a special display of winning photographs from the Harwich Chamber of Commerce’s Photo Contest. The public is invited to the Gallery on March 19 & 20 and March 26 & 27, located at 551 Main Street, Harwich Port (Saturdays – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sundays – Noon – 4:00 p.m.). Photographers were asked to submit photos taken in the Town of Harwich in the categories of “Agriculture, Gardens and Nature”, “Beaches and Fun in the Sun”, “Recreation” and “Arts & Culture”. Judges included Susan Crowley of Clemence Photography, Roe Osborne, Roe Osborne Photography and Alan Pollock, Photographer and Report, The Cape Cod Chronicle. Winning Photographers were as followed: Agriculture, Gardens and Nature: 1st Place, Priscilla Thoma; 2nd Place, David Crestin; Honorable Mentions: Debbie Owen, Mary Lee Mantz and Margery Campbell. Beaches and Fun in the Sun: 1st Place Chris Banks; 2nd Place, Margery Campbell. Honorable Mentions: James Carbone, David Jordan and Priscilla Thoma. Recreation: 1st Place, James Carbone; 2nd Place, Chris Banks. Honorable Mention: Debbie Owen. Arts and Culture: 1st and 2nd Place, Chris Banks; Honorable Mention: William Pomeroy.
