Participants will be invited to test their hand at knife and axe throwing, get a fantasy face painting, or just enjoy a pint and watch the music and performers who will be on the stages and streets.
This year will also see additional rides and games from New World Games, which include a human powered carousel and the infamous “Hurlinator”. Games of skill and chance return, such as the Axe and Knife throwing walls, and other, new challenges await!
The festival welcomes back favorite performances such as the rollicking pirate band, The Plankwalkers, the ever-boisterous (and sorta-local) Crimson Pirates, as well as new entertainers such as the Foxy Bard.
The Yarmouth Minutemen Militia will return as their piratical alter-egos “Jeramiah’s Gunners” as they provide explosive live-fire demonstrations from flintlocks and even a canon! The “Rogue’s Armada”, a pirate reenactment troupe raising money for Feeding America, returns as well and will provide a host of interactive family entertainment and performances throughout the day.
The event will be held on June 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th at the Yarmouth Fairgrounds (the old Yarmouth Drive-In) on Rte. 28. Gates open at 10:30am and the event ends at 5:30 pm each day. Tickets for the event are $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 3-12 and available now at www.capecodpiratefestival. com. Parking is available on-site for $5 per vehicle.
