Discovery & Enrichment Series: Women at Sea
What life was like for women at sea in the late 1800s? Frances Amesbury captured her adventures sailing the China Trade routes through journal entries and photography. Chatham resident Barbara Semple, Frances’ great niece, will share these experiences as part of the Brewster Ladies’ Library Association’s Discovery & Enrichment Series on May 21 at 2 pm.
