National Parks of the Southern US with Adventurer Steve Farrar
The entire southern section of the US was at one time under a great inland sea. In this edition of our National Parks series, our tour guide Steve Farrar will be showing the myriad of ways that earlier submersion has resulted in the fantastic geographic features on display in our Southern National Parks. The largest marine fossil reef on earth makes up two of our Parks, one above ground and one below. We will visit the largest gypsum field on the planet, examine the densest concentration of petrified logs found anywhere, and go climbing in the only National Park to entirely contain a complete mountain range.
This program will be held on Saturday November 22nd at 11am in the Main Meeting Room at the Osterville Village Library
