American Revolution on Cape Cod and Islands
This session will focus on the critical events during the Revolutionary Period which took place on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, within the context of the larger events in the colonies as a whole. Included will be shipwrecks, Parliamentary Acts which led to rebellion, important individuals in this region who played key roles in this time, military engagements, privateering, and other local events which eventually led to American independence. The book on which the presentation is based will be available for purchase after the session.
