In Five Element Qi Gong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Metal Element organs are the lungs, large intestine, and skin—whose function is to release tension and to detoxify the body; as well as letting go of emotion stress (like grief and sadness). Some of the more positive traits of Metal Element are the qualities of clarity, confidence, good organizational skills and the ability to work and get things accomplished.
Margie Mitchell began her Qigong journey with “7 Minutes of Magic” learning Qigong with Lee Holden while being a Physical Education Teacher. During her lunch period, she made time for a “qigong practice” for 7 minutes-which transformed her day! In 2016, Margie finally got to meet Qigong Masters Lee Holden and John Platt while taking a week-long workshop at Kripula, in Lenox, MA.
Upon retiring from the Mashpee School system, Margie enrolled in the 200 hours Holden Qigong Teacher Training Course. Margie has taught qigong locally at Highfield Hall, the Falmouth and Mashpee Senior Centers. She traveled to Santa Cruz, CA in August 2024 for a higher level training with Qigong Master Lee Holden.
