Around 1997, Pokemon took the U.S. by storm. Trading cards, video games, toys, stuffed animals, almost anything! Personally, I was absorbed by the Pokemon culture. My best friend even got a holographic Charizard trading card in his very first booster pack! Years later Pokemon has continued to consume people’s lives! And in a positive way. People wrote and drew manga, animated TV shows, and created their own fan art. So are you are a fan? Well it’s time to make some fan art! All levels of experience and artistic skill are more than welcome! Pop up Art School will guide you with step-by-step instructions using basic shapes, making it easy for all skill levels. As you draw, enjoy playing Pokémon trivia and showcase your knowledge. Perfect for Pokémon fans and budding artists alike! The Falmouth Public Library – Main Branch welcomes back Pop Up Art School for a “How to Draw Pokemon” workshop on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. Start on your journey to being a Pokemon drawing master and maybe even draw ‘em all! There will be fun side Pokemon activities happening as well! Maybe even a chance to frame your finished artwork…. The event is 100% free and all materials are provided free of charge. The event will run from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM in the Young Adult Room. Registration is required! You can register by visiting our online calendar located on our webpage or give us a call at 508-457-2555 x2931. If you’re at the library and really excited, we’ll do it in person! The program is intended for ages 9+ and due to limited materials, the event requires registration and fills up fast, so grab your seat now! You’ll bring your creations home for display or to share with your friends.
