This class emphasizes control and repetition as you practice forming smooth, consistent glass circles and connecting them into unified chain links. You’ll learn how to plan and assemble components efficiently, building strength through technique rather than size, and gaining confidence in working with multiple connected elements.
By the end of class, you’ll understand how modular borosilicate construction can open the door to larger, more complex sculptural possibilities.
Safety & What to Expect This class is held at our HyArts Campus Flamework Studio
Working with borosilicate glass involves high temperatures, open flame, and precise handling of hot components. All participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (no synthetic fabrics), along with closed- toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back securely before class.
Protective eyewear will be provided and may be required during certain stages of assembly and torch work.
All pieces must be properly kiln-annealed overnight to ensure durability and structural integrity. Finished work will be available for pickup the following day.
