Using these skills, you’ll create your own miniature glass tree, a project designed to build control and confidence while working with this more complex material. Along the way, you’ll practice shaping techniques, learn how to balance and stabilize your piece so it stands on its own, and experiment with form and flow.
This class blends skill- building with creativity, giving you the chance to explore the possibilities of borosilicate glass while crafting a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.
Safety & What to Expect
This class will be held at our HyArts Campus Flamework Studio
Working with borosilicate glass involves higher temperatures and focused flame work, so safety is essential. All participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (no synthetic fabrics), along with closed- toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back securely before class.
As with all glasswork, your finished tree will need to cool slowly in a kiln overnight to ensure strength and durability. Your completed piece will be ready for pickup the following day.
