The Osterville Village Library Welcomes The New Bedford Whaling Museum with an exciting lecture "A Day in The Life Of A Whaling Voyage" Topics of discussion to include: A day in the life of a Whaling Voyage: Crews, vessel description, the business, geography, products. We outline and discuss details of the business; New Bedford, Nantucket, arctic whaling, and 20th- century whaling. Sister Sailors : Whaling Wives Baleen and harpoon demonstration included. This talk will be given by docents Captain Michael Taylor and Nancy Gentile. This event will take place on Saturday June 29th at 1pm in The Main Meeting Room at The Osterville Village Library.
