Heroes and villains play a major role in the lives of young people. But too often they come in the form of stereotypical comic and movie characters. Heroes and villains actually come in many different forms, from a favorite teacher to Mother Nature; from world dictators to ocean polluters. Paint Night! from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2019 Matisse broke ground using bright color for expression and was the most noted of the Fauves or “wild beasts.” In the colorist vein we will paint Woman with a Hat (Femme au chapeau), 1905 by Henri Matisse Acrylic paint, canvases, brushes, palette knives, palettes, easels and smocks will be provided.... OPENING RECEPTION : Artist Meet and Greet "Cape Scenes: Three Perspectives" - A Photography Exhibit. Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize- winning play, DRIVING MISS DAISY, opens on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 7:30 PM at the Barnstable Comedy Club, 3171 Main Street, Rte. 6A in Barnstable.
