In this talk, Graham-Pye will share how she came to write the book and discuss the rapidly growing body of research documenting the presence of enslaved people on Cape Cod and throughout New England. She will also invite discussion about how we acknowledge the consequences of a lopsided and selective historical narrative, and what it means to more fully reckon with the stories that have long gone unremembered in Cape history.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
