We’ve finally got our time machine working in Falmouth Public Library’s Young Adult Room! Time machines are sort of tough so we have to start small. We’ve made it back to the 80s…in video game land! All of a sudden an original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), a Super Nintendo (SNES), a Nintendo 64 (N64), a Nintendo Game Cube AND a Sega Genesis have been recovered. There are rumors of an original Wii console as well. Every week in Falmouth Public Library’s Main Branch’s Young Adult room, we will be stepping into the past of Nintendo and Sega. The time warp shall begin on August 5, 2026 and continue every Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM. It is an open event for all ages. All are welcome and you can show up and leave at any point that you like. Some of the video games that await us are the original Mario Brothers, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Castlevania, Donkey Kong, and much much more! Come and see for yourself. Remember, it’s for all ages so please, come defeat your kids or younger family and friends! It is time for us older folk to show the next generations where all their dream video games started. There is no registration required for participation! All ages, drop-in, drop-out! All games are rated “PG”. Clint, the Young Adult Librarian will be present to ensure a fun, collaborative, and safe time! If you have any of your own video games, feel free to bring them in for all to enjoy!
