The Osterville Village Library Welcomes The New Bedford Whaling Museum with an exciting lecture "A Day in The Life Of A Whaling Voyage" Topics of discussion to include: A day in the life of a Whaling Voyage: Crews, vessel description, the business, geography, products. We outline and discuss details of the business; New Bedford, Nantucket, arctic whaling, and 20th- century whaling. Sister Sailors : Whaling Wives Baleen and harpoon demonstration included. Let's Explore Together! Join Jessica Sheppard, teacher naturalist from Let's Explore Together, in learning to identify some of the common seaweeds found along the beaches of Cape Cod.
