In recognition of
Juneteenth, join the fight
against Sickle Cell Disease
by donating blood with the
American Red Cross at the
Osterville Village Library
on Wednesday June 19th
from 9am until 5pm.
Why are blood donations
so important for patients
with Sickle Cell Disease?
- About 100,000 people in
the United States have
Sickle Cell Disease.
- Sickle Cell Disease
affects 1 out of every 365
Black or African American
births.
- People with Sickle Cell
Disease may need as
many as 100 units of blood
each year.
- Your blood donations
could help alleviate the
symptoms of someone
living with Sickle Cell
Disease, or even help save
their life!
