Nature columnist, Mary Richmond - who is also an artist, naturalist, and teacher - has been leading Sketching and Watercolor on Location all across the Cape for over 30 years. She is now partnering with the Cotuit Center for the Arts to share the joy of outdoor (or plein air) painting and drawing.
Each class will be held in a different location. Locations may be on the upper, mid, or lower Cape. A full list will be announced shortly, so please watch this space. Ever-popular spots include Fort Hill in Eastham, the dunes in Truro, and the wildflower garden at Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich...just to name a few. Carpooling from the Center is always recommended, though not necessary if you live close to the destination. For distant locations, please allow extra time both before and after class for travel. Meeting times will be set well in advance. During inclement weather, students can work in the upstairs room at the Schoolhouse on the CCftA campus.
