Is Louisa May Alcott's tale of the March sisters still relevant today, 151 years after it was written? Some critics argue that the story is what Alcott herself called, "moral pap for the young."
Joanne Holcomb, retired English teacher of 35 years and English/lanaguage arts department head for 14 years at Falmouth High School, will lead a 4- session discussion on Zoom. Joanne writes, "We will practice shared inquiry in the discussion of Alcott's story. Through questioning, sharing ideas, and discussing our won interpretation, we will explore the ideas, themes, and topics of Alcott's Little Women."
This class is free and is sponsored by the Friends of the Falmouth Public Library. It is appropriate for adults and teens. It is a Zoom event and registration is required by Noon on Friday, October 2. To register, go to falmouthpubliclibrary.org/e vents
