Heroes and villains play a major role in the lives of young people. But too often they come in the form of stereotypical comic and movie characters. Heroes and villains actually come in many different forms, from a favorite teacher to Mother Nature; from world dictators to ocean polluters. The course begins with a lecture on Hofmann’s push/pull theory by viewing the work of his students and continues with two and a half hours of drawing with a break for lunch.
